SyracuseCoE and the ASHRAE Central New York Chapter are pleased to welcome keynote speaker William Bahnfelth. His talk will address the new ASHRAE standard for airborne disease transmission control and its implications for industry.

Speaker Information:

William Bahnfleth is a professor of architectural engineering at The Pennsylvania State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and is a Registered Professional Engineer. Dr. Bahnfleth is a fellow of ASHRAE, ASME, and ISIAQ. He is a past President (2013-2014) of ASHRAE and 1st Vice-President of the Indoor Environmental Quality Global Alliance. He formed and chaired the ASHRAE Epidemic Task Force and now chairs the committee writing ASHRAE Standard 241-Control of Infectious Aerosols as well as the ASHRAE Environmental Health Committee.
